Twitter Projects : Philippines

Twitter is an important tool in conventions and conferences in the Philippines. Take for example, the 3rd Filipino Reader Convention, which was held in the Rizal Library of the Ateneo de Manila University. Live tweets by @PinoyReaderCon using the hashtag #FilReaderCon kept readers both physically present and virtually present readers in the loop.

Twitter also plays a vital role in telling people about our libraries, librarians, and even… lib-BEAR-ians. As a stuffed bear posed as a librarian in the Rizal Library, students just went bear-crazy: taking pictures, leaving notes, and of course, tweeting about it. K-bear (as the students fondly call it), now has its own Twitter account, managed by… can you take a guess?
